There are various records you’ll need to keep. These include:
- Client records
- I suggest start using the client information form that you can download free from Reiki.org/download/freedownloads.html.
- Bookkeeping Records
- You will need a record book to keep track of expenses and income.
- Expense receipts for tax purposes.
- There are also many apps out there for self-employed to help make bookeeping manageable.
Business Expenses are Tax Deductible
Because you are operating a business, you will be able to deduct business expenses from your income taxes. For this you willed to keep your records for all expenses such as: Office ret, training expenses, including travel and lodging, utilities, gas for your car, mileage… these can all be deducted from your taxes. For more information contact your accountant or tax lawyers.
One of the most effective things you can do to promote your Reiki practice is develop an email list of those interested in Reiki. In today’s world people use email to communicate far more than snail mail. This is because email is easy, fast and inexpensive.
If you’re promoting your Reiki practice, it’s easier to compose an email and send int to your email list than to mail a flyer. With email, it’s as easy as clicking a ouse button a few times and it’s done with almost no expense.
You can use your email list to remind people about your Reiki practice, promotions, or special deals you have. Let them know when you have free Reiki evenings or Fund Raisers and so forth.
